Greek Presidency Agri-Fisheries Priorities to be discussed in Brussels (3-4.12.2013)

Greece’s Rural Development and Food Minister, Professor Athanasios Tsaftaris, will be in Brussels on 3-4 December for meetings with representatives and high-ranking officials of EU bodies in view of the upcoming Greek Presidency.

In particular, the Minister will meet at the European Parliament with Paolo De Castro, President of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mato Adrover, President of the Committee on Fisheries, and Matthias Groote, President of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, in order to discuss issues to be dealt with by the Agri-Fisheries Council and the said European Parliament Committees in the course of the Greek Presidency.

Moreover, the Minister will meet with Greek MEPs and officials from the European Commission and the General Secretariat of the EU Council, as well as discuss with members of the press the priorities of the Greek Presidency in agriculture, food safety and fisheries.
